Beaumont Convention & Visitors Bureau

The Cajuns call it Lagniappe--meaning a little something extra. And that pretty much describes Beaumont. They are still pure Texas, but at the same time their Bayou roots make them a combination of two colorful cultures. From two stepping to Zydeco, enjoying enchiladas and spicy hot boiled crawfish or checking out museums specializing in everything from art to energy, Beaumont's definitely got a Texas sized portion of Lagniappe! And they'd just love to share it with you.
Beaumont is full of places and activities that authentically represent the stories and people of the past and present. That makes the area a prime cultural heritage tourism site, offering unique historic, cultural, art, and natural destinations for bus tours, families, and seasonal travelers. Off Ramp Magazine, published by the Southeast Texas Arts Council, continues to chronicle these experiences through the eyes and hands of regional artists, winning interest and acclaim from natives and visitors alike.
